The Totem We Share

The joy of getting in here seems still in the air.
With due effort, you climbed up another stair.
Victory became closer for you to declare.
Some worked hard, leaving no time to spare.
Some fooled around and never seemed to care.

I can’t help asking, “How did you fare?”
Well or not, but the game was pretty fair.
Take a moment to reconsider the whole affair.
Great success is for those who dare.

I hope to give you an advice, not a scare.
No hurry to pump things up and swear.
But NTU is the totem we all share.
